Masturbation causes acne or loss of eyesight.

Fact

Generally the teenagers start Masturbating when they hit puberty and this is the same time when many of them get acne. Also many of them discover that they need glasses and their eyesight is weak. So its actually not masturbation, its the time of puberty on which these things happen too and it was thought that masturbation was responsible for all this, which is wrong.

Masturbation causes STDs  (sexually transmitted diseases)

Fact

Masturbation is usually done alone. For a disease to transmit, at least two people are required. In some sex education courses, mutual masturbation is taught as a way to avoid sexualy transmitted diseases.

Myth

Masturbation causes hair to grow on your palms.

Fact

Around 98% of the adults have reported that they have masturbated sometime in their lives, and none of them have ever had hair on their palms.

Myth

Its more acceptable for boys to masturbate than girls.

Fact

It is natural for both boys and girls to masturbate and both do it.

Myth

A child who masturbates has been exposed to sexual information which is not appropriate for his or her age.

Fact

Children tend to explore their bodies even before they reach puberty. They learn this feels good. Showing knowledge of sexual acts other than masturbation could mean that they have been exposed to sexual information which is inappropriate for them.

If the teenagers masturbate too much, they will lose the ability to have children.

Fact

Masturbation will not and cannot make people infertile (both men and women) or decrease egg or sperm count. So teenagers will not lose the ability to have children.

Myth

Masturbation causes the genitals to shrink or grow or can make your penis bend.

Fact

The only damage masturbation can do to ones genitals is that it make ones genitals sore because of the friction. To avoid that one can use lubrication. Masturbation will not and cannot cause ones genitals to shrink or grow or get de shaped.
